About This Service

The Department of Social Welfare and Community Development provides essential support to vulnerable individuals, families, and persons with disabilities within the Ningo-Prampram District.

The department works to protect the rights and welfare of children, support persons with disabilities, strengthen families through counselling, and administer social intervention programmes that improve the livelihoods of the most vulnerable members of the community.

Child Protection: Custody arrangements, child maintenance, and safeguarding of children's rights
Disability Rehabilitation: Support and rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities
Family Counselling: Mediation and counselling for families in distress
NGO / CBO Registration: Registration of Non-Governmental Organisations and Community-Based Organisations
Daycare Centre Licensing: Registration and oversight of daycare centres within the district
Residential Children's Homes: Oversight and management of residential homes for children
LEAP Programme: Management of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) social intervention

Steps to Access Services

Visit the Assembly Office

Come to the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly office and ask to be directed to the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development.
